CT Technologist For Medical Center
Performs diagnostic imaging studies in accordance with physician orders and departmental guidelines. Prepares and transports patients as necessary. Prepares imaging equipment, room, and images as need for interpretation. Verifies and completes studies in RIS and PACS. Maintains Quality Control on Equipment as Instructed.
Responsibilities include receiving and reviewing requests for radiologic studies, accepting patients and assessing their condition to determine proper handling and special requirements, explaining and preparing patients for all radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, operating highly complex radiographic equipment, maintaining radiographic equipment and x-ray rooms in proper working condition, performing various clerical duties as assigned, attending all required safety training programs, demonstrating respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees, promoting effective working relationships, and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include an associate's degree in radiology from an approved two-year program, up to one year of experience preferred, current CPR certification, basic computer skills, knowledge of ALARA guidelines, ability to meet hospital on-call requirements, state licensure, and ARRT certification.
