What You'll Be Doing
- Manage end-to-end Ocean Import shipments, from arrival through customs clearance and final delivery.
- Coordinate with ocean carriers, customs brokers, trucking providers and customers.
- Manage bills of lading, commercial invoices, import documentation and shipment records.
- Track cargo, resolve exceptions and proactively communicate with customers.
- Ensure shipments comply with applicable customs and import regulations.
- Maintain accurate shipment and billing information within logistics systems.
- Deliver a high level of customer service in a fast-paced freight-forwarding environment.
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience in Ocean Freight / Ocean Import within freight forwarding or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of US import processes and customs documentation.
- Experience working with freight-forwarding systems; CargoWise experience would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization and follow-through.
- Confident communicator who can build strong relationships with customers, carriers and internal teams.
- Someone who enjoys problem-solving and taking ownership from shipment booking through to delivery.
