Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to support patient care and clinical operations within the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiovascular patients immediately post-surgery.
• Manage patient ratios of 1:1 for immediate post-surgical and 1:2 for post-operative days 1-3.
• Maintain primary nursing responsibilities with assistance from unit secretaries and technicians.
• Utilize Meditech Expanse for accurate clinical documentation.
• Adhere to a 36-hour work schedule, including three weekend shifts every four weeks.
• Float to other units maintaining similar patient care ratios as needed.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• 1-2 years of experience with fresh cardiac surgery patient recovery.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Experience with balloon pump and impella equipment.
• Training with Hemosphere or Acumen monitoring systems preferred.
• Ability to wear the required navy blue dress code uniform.
