Summary
Our client, a global leader in advanced autonomous and robotic solutions across multiple industries, is seeking an Electrical Technician III to build, install, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems for robotic platforms and ground vehicles. This hands-on role involves wiring harness fabrication, electrical component integration, prototype modifications, equipment testing, and preventive maintenance while working closely with electrical and mechanical engineers. The ideal candidate can work independently, solve complex technical problems, and provide guidance to other technicians.



Key Responsibilities

• Build, install, modify, and test wiring harnesses, electrical subsystems, sensors, motor controls, and electronic components.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Diagnose electrical and electromechanical issues; perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other test equipment to validate electrical system performance.
• Modify and repair prototypes and production equipment to resolve functional issues and meet engineering requirements.
• Perform electrical testing, equipment calibration, and system characterization; document results and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers on system integration, equipment upgrades, and design improvements.
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation activities for robotic and vehicle electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, test records, and daily activity reports.
• Provide technical guidance to other technicians and support team leads with complex electrical issues.

• 5-7+ years of experience in electrical or electronics technician roles involving equipment assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in wiring harness design, fabrication, and testing.
• Ability to design and interpret wiring schematics, electrical diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and related electrical test equipment.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting, vehicle or system characterization, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with CAD tools or electrical circuit design software.
• Knowledge of electrical wire routing, electronic components, and electromechanical systems.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with engineering teams.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and support to other technicians.
• Associate degree, technical certificate in electrical engineering technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience working with robotics, autonomous vehicles, mobile equipment, or other complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience with soldering, electronic component replacement, prototype modification, and circuit repair.
• Familiarity with vehicle electrical integration and system-level testing.
• Experience supporting engineering development, production testing, or equipment commissioning.
