As a Pega Senior Business Systems Analyst you play a key role in the migration from Pega Cosmos to Constellation. The right person will be a 60% Business Architect and have a 40% System Architect mindset. You will be responsible for bridging business UX ideas and Constellation reality, shaping work before it hits development and preventing rework.Your future duties and responsibilities:UX Constellation Translation (Primary Responsibility)Convert business-defined UX concepts into:Case types, stages, and stepsViews and view configurationsData objects and relationshipsEnsure designs align with Constellation patterns and constraintsChallenge and refine UX designs that are not feasible in ConstellationCase Design & ModelingLead creation and refinement of:Case life cyclesPersonas and user journeysData models (case + data objects)Simplify and standardize workflows to fit Constellation best practicesIdentify opportunities for reuse across case typesApp Studio Configuration LeadershipDrive design and configuration using App Studio (not Dev Studio-first mindset)Define:Views (forms, fields, layouts)Assignments and processesPartner with SSAs to ensure clean handoff for any advanced logicDesign Governance & GuardrailsEnforce Constellation-aligned design decisions:Avoid unnecessary customizationPrevent "Cosmos-style" UI thinkingEnsure solutions adhere to:Pega guardrailsReusability and maintainability standardsAct as the first line of defense before escalation to LSABusiness Collaboration & PlaybackFacilitate:Design workshopsPlayback/demo sessionsTranslate business feedback into actionable configuration changesEducate stakeholders on:What Constellation can and cannot doTrade-offs in design decisionsCollaboration with LSA & EngineeringPartner with LSA on:Design decisions impacting architectureData model alignmentWork with SSAs/SAs to:Clarify requirementsEnsure accurate implementationIdentify when requirements require:Custom componentsIntegration changesBacklog Shaping & Story DefinitionCreate and refine user stories with:Clear acceptance criteriaConstellation-aware design contextEnsure stories are:Build-readyFree of ambiguityPrioritize work with product ownersRequired qualifications to be successful in this role:6–10 years total Pega, with at least 1–2 real Constellation implementations, and strong BSA + App Studio experience.Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:Strong personal initiative, drive, motivated to learn.
