Basic Qualifications Ability to apply finish protective coatings, spray guns and/or brushes, operates spray painting equip, optical bonding fabrication, injection molding machines, ablative processing equipment, tape-wrapper, autoclaves, bonding, mixes paints, lacquers. Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 3x12 weekend "D" shift- as required in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Job Code/Title R03FAB:Fabricator Job Description You will be the Fabricator / Painter for the Machining Operations Center (MOC). Our team is responsible for precision machining, component installation, chemical conversion coating, and painting. What You Will Be Doing As the Fabricator / Painter you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality coated and finished components that meet stringent aerospace specifications. Your responsibilities will include: Apply finish protective coatings using spray guns or brushes, both air‑dry and baked. Operate sandblasting and tumble‑blast equipment to remove scale, corrosion, and contaminants. Mix, thin, and apply paints, lacquers, and enamels to meet color and performance standards. Set up and run spray‑painting equipment, monitoring viscosity and ensuring consistent coverage. Clean and prepare parts, including electro‑plating cleaning and surface inspections.
