Highly Autonomous Payroll Position
This role is with a well-established, medium-sized organization in the manufacturing industry. The company is recognized for its standing in their sector and delivering quality services to its clients.
Job Description
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for 2,000 employees (union & non-union), ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and policies.
- Oversee payroll reporting and the creation of exempt & non-exempt payroll reports.
- Maintain and update payroll systems to reflect employee changes, tax updates, and other necessary information.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources and Finance teams to address employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues.
- Monitor and improve payroll processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee payroll records and sensitive information.

The Successful Applicant
- Prior experience in processing payroll for an hourly & salaried population of 1,500+ employees.
- Prior experience in Paycom highly preferred.
- Previous experience in generating payroll reports.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll systems and federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for reviewing payroll data.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
