Project Manager

Job Title: Project ManagerLocation: Alpharetta, GASalary Rate: $120,000 - $180,000We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale heavy civil construction projects throughout Georgia. This role is responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial performance, and successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects, including bridges, dams, transportation improvements, deep foundations, excavation, marine construction, water resources, and other public works projects.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.Lead project teams consisting of superintendents, field engineers, project engineers, subcontractors, and support staff.Coordinate with owners, DOT agencies, municipalities, engineers, and regulatory stakeholders.Review plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents to ensure successful project execution.Monitor project costs, production rates, cash flow, and profitability.Prepare and negotiate change orders, claims, RFIs, and subcontract agreements.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality control requirements.Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and specialty subcontractors.Conduct project meetings and provide regular progress reporting to senior leadership and clients.Support pursuit and preconstruction efforts by collaborating with estimating teams during budgeting and project planning.Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to minimize impacts on schedule and cost.QualificationsRequired5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction.Proven experience managing projects such as bridges, highways, dams, water/wastewater facilities, marine work, deep foundations, excavation, or other large infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.Experience with public sector projects and agency requirements.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and scheduling platforms.
