Lead Financial Strategy That Drives Community Impact  

Sun Street Centers is seeking a strategic, experienced Director of Finance to lead financial operations and ensure fiscal sustainability across our behavioral health programs. This leadership role supports substance use disorder treatment, prevention, and recovery services throughout Monterey County.

The Opportunity  

The Director of Finance serves as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for financial strategy, compliance, and operational excellence. This role ensures financial integrity while supporting growth and mission-driven impact. 

 

What You’ll Do  

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Oversee accounting, audits, and regulatory compliance
  • Manage grants, contracts, and funding streams 
  • Partner with CEO and Board on financial strategy 
  • Develop financial reporting and dashboards 
  • Lead and mentor finance team

  • Improved financial visibility for leadership decision-making 

 

Who You Are  

• 5–10+ years of financial leadership experience
  • Strong nonprofit accounting experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting 
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills 
  • Experience with government contracts and grants 

 

 

Compensation & Benefits

$120,000-$150,000 annually (DOE)
