LTC Closed Door Pharmacist (On-site) — Contract to Hire

Location: Warwick, RI
Pay: $70.55/hour
Type: Contract to Hire | Hours: 40/week | Openings: 3

Schedule

• Primary shift: Monday–Friday 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
• Evening coverage needed: candidates should be able to work a 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shift (may be needed regularly; some flexibility may be possible)

What You’ll Do

• Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with all applicable laws/regulations
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, storage, and drug interactions
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files
• Monitor medication adherence and identify potential overuse/compliance issues
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications (dosage, side effects, interactions, storage)
• Support compounding (including sterile prep as required) following proper procedures
• Supervise pharmacy staff (technicians/clerks) and help manage inventory
• Collaborate with providers and other healthcare professionals on drug-related issues

Requirements

• Active RI Pharmacist license (in good standing)
• Pharmacy degree (per role requirements)
• Strong attention to detail, patient-focused communication, and ability to work on-site
