Role Overview

We are seeking a Sr. Network Engineer for a position onsite in Kings Point, NY. The candidate will help design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain academy networks. This role involves configuring, testing, and maintaining LAN/WAN/DMZ/Wireless networks and related services, as well as creating comprehensive documentation. The ideal candidate has experience working in a government environment utilizing NIST and FISMA standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain networks.
• Configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN/DMZ/Wireless networks and related services.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks, applications, and appliances.
• Implement and administer network devices, setting and maintaining policies in a structured environment.
• Configure Cisco switches and routers.
• Design, plan, establish, and optimize wireless networks.
• Perform Level 2 and Level 3 resolution in a Windows Server and Win 11 environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years of experience in network engineering.
• Experience in a government environment utilizing NIST and FISMA is required.
• Experience with Aruba's architecture, including Wireless and Network Access Control.
• Nutanix Prism and Acropolis hypervisor management.
• Firewall and VPN configuration, management, and analysis.
• Experience with network access security tools.
• MS Server Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
• PowerShell scripting and implementation skills.

Certifications: A minimum of one of the following certifications is required: CCNA, CCNP, or ITIL v3.
