Fund Accountant VP - Private Credit

ABOUT THE ROLE

A leading global fund services provider is seeking a Vice President, Private Credit Fund Accounting to oversee a portfolio of private credit clients and lead a team responsible for fund accounting, financial reporting, investor allocations, and client service delivery. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex private credit fund structures, mentor accounting professionals, and serve as a key relationship manager for institutional clients. The ideal candidate will bring fund administration experience supporting private credit funds and a strong understanding of fund accounting operations and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of private credit fund clients Oversee daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual fund accounting deliverables Review and approve NAV calculations, reconciliations, and investor reporting packages Review financial statements, capital call notices, distribution notices, and investor allocations Oversee management fee, incentive fee, and waterfall calculations Lead and mentor a team of fund accountants, providing coaching, training, and performance management Coordinate year‑end audits and collaborate with external auditors and tax providers Interpret complex fund structures, allocation methodologies, and private credit investment activity Review debt instrument accounting, interest accruals, and credit‑specific fund transactions Ensure timely and accurate client deliverables while maintaining high service standards Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and client experience Partner with internal stakeholders and clients to address accounting, reporting, and operational matters

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of fund accounting experience within a fund administrator Experience supporting private credit funds required Strong understanding of NAV calculations, investor allocations, capital activity, and fund structures Experience reviewing financial statements and supporting year‑end audit processes Knowledge of waterfall calculations, management fees, and incentive allocations Prior management or team leadership experience preferred Strong client‑facing communication and relationship management skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliverables in a fast‑paced environment CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent designation is a plus Candidates with Manager or VP‑level fund administration experience supporting private credit strategies are highly encouraged to apply #J-18808-Ljbffr Madison-Davis
