Distillation Chemist

The Scientific Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is hiring a BS Chemistry – Distillation Chemist (Night Shift) for a world-class client in Danbury, CT.

Required Top Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (open to recent graduates)
• Ability to work overnight (3rd shift) – physically demanding and requires strong alertness
• Hands-on experience or knowledge of distillation processes (separating and purifying chemicals using heat/boiling point differences)
• Ability to operate distillation systems (heating, cooling, vacuum, pressure)
• Experience with analytical tools (e.g., Gas Chromatography preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform distillation of organic chemicals in a manufacturing setting
• Monitor process parameters to ensure quality, yield, and consistency
• Handle chemicals: weighing, mixing, transferring
• Maintain equipment, safety standards, and documentation
• Support production and collaborate with technical teams

Additional Details:

• Full-time role (Night Shift)
• Salary: $55K – $60K per annum
• Shift: Sunday – Friday, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM (night Shift)
