Job Description Job Description Warehouse Associate/ General Laborer Warren, RI $18-21/hr based on shift All Shifts Available! Responsibilities: Follow proper procedures for receiving all products including verifying actual product against packing slips, confirming product integrity, and checking product temperatures as needed. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of receiving area including loading dock and all equipment. Unload raw materials from truck and move materials to warehouse storage. Responsible for quality control by ensuring no damaged raw materials are accepted in. Operate machinery including baler, compactor, and forklift, pallet jack; high reach industrial truck within standard operating procedures. Perform daily pre-shift inspections all equipment being operated. Participate in team based huddles and improvement forums. Communicate with operators from other shifts. Cross train on other warehouse functions to build team flexibility. Provide on-the-job training to new employees. Adhere/ follow the food safety programs in the department including GMPs and HACCP plan. Other duties as assigned. Job knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Receivers must have basic math skills and should have strong written and verbal communications skills. Receivers should be able to prioritize work, be detail oriented and have the ability to communicate effectively with internal department team members and vendors. Must have knowledge of the safety and company procedures for handling the receiving goods. Must be dependable and be able to work unsupervised in an efficient manner. Must be adaptable and flexible in work schedule. Must be well organized and able to multitask and work under tight deadlines. Forklift, high lift and pallet jack experience required.
