Job Description

The Senior Manager, Communications for Corporate Functions plays an important role in supporting the development and execution of global communication strategies in support of Amcor's corporate functions. The role focuses on planning, delivering and measuring high-quality integrated, multi-channel communications for a diverse global audience, ensuring messages are engaging, timely and relevant, and promote Amcor’s growth agenda.

The Senior Manager provides strategic communications counsel that helps build understanding of Amcor’s strategy, business priorities, goals and key initiatives among both external and internal audiences. The role leads key media engagement activities, crisis communications and coordination with subject matter experts and external partners, while translating complex business topics and activities into clear, engaging communications that foster connection with colleagues. Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to understand communication needs, the Senior Manager will identify opportunities to enhance Amcor’s brand and deliver impactful communications leveraging a variety of channels. The role supports the execution of global communication campaigns and initiatives, ensuring consistency of messaging and alignment with broader business objectives. Success in this position requires strong relationship-building, communication and project management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority, manage multiple priorities and work effectively across functions and geographies. The role partners closely with members of the Global Communications team and business and functional stakeholders to deliver communications that drive awareness, understanding and engagement across the organization.

• Support the communications needs of Corporate Functions, including C-suite, Investor Relations, Sustainability and global media relations, by delivering effective, timely and high-quality communications that align with business priorities and demonstrate Amcor’s leadership in the industry
• Lead and execute integrated communication activities that engage diverse audiences through multiple platforms and channels, including executive messaging, high-impact change management initiatives and thought leadership, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
• Cultivate relationships with key media while maintaining a strong understanding of the external landscape, including media coverage, competitor activity and industry trends, leveraging those insights to inform communication planning, messaging and reputation management
• Ensure leadership alignment by developing materials that provide the context, messaging and resources needed to confidently communicate business initiatives, organizational changes and strategic priorities consistently throughout the organization
• Track and measure communication effectiveness using established metrics and insights, providing recommendations to continuously improve engagement, reach and impact
• Build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the organization, serving as a trusted communications advisor and providing strategic counsel that helps teams communicate with clarity, consistency and impact
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Global Communications team to develop and execute integrated communications that support enterprise priorities and drive consistency of messaging

What we want from you

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related discipline
• Minimum 8-10 years external and internal communications experience, preferably in global or manufacturing environment
• Extensive experience in change communications and a proven track record of effective delivery of integrated, multi-channel communications programs
• Proven experience advising executives and senior leadership
• Media engagement and crisis management experience
• Exceptional copywriting skills across multiple formats and channels
• Fluency in spoken and written English. Additional languages a plus

Compensation

The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $129,200 to $177,650 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits. The salary range provided reflects the anticipated starting salary base pay for this role at the time of this posting and does not necessarily reflect full earning potential over the course of employment. This range is applicable to positions performed in jurisdictions with pay transparency requirements, including CA, CO, CT, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NV, NJ, NY, RI, VT, WA, Washington DC, as well as remote roles that may be performed in these locations. Compensation for roles performed outside of these jurisdictions may vary. The Company reserves the right to modify this range at any time.
