Financial Aid Peer Counselor

Title: Financial Aid Peer Counselor VP Area: Provost - UMW Department: Admissions Campus Location: Lee Hall Advertised Range: $13.00 per hour Job Summary/Basic Functions Responsibilities include receiving and answering basic financial aid-related questions for incoming customers via telephone, e-mail, and front desk reception; intelligently explaining to customers basic information about Federal Student Aid programs and processes; providing excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality of students’ records appropriate to FERPA regulations; working closely with the Financial Aid Customer Service Team. Required KSAs/Competencies/Qualifications Must have Federal Work Student Eligibility, have a current FAFSA, and meet SAP requirements. Must be friendly and patient, with great organizational skills.
