Registered Nurse (RN) PACU (Part-time)

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PACU — Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit. This is a part‑time day‑shift position in Charlottesville, VA, requiring three 10‑hour shifts plus required call. Sign‑on bonus of $7,500 available for qualified candidates. PACU: The Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nursing Staff observe and treat post‑operative patients from radiology, endoscopy, general surgery, urology, complex GYN, neurosurgery, vascular/thoracic, and orthopedic services. The 12‑bed unit maintains a 1‑to‑2 nurse‑to‑patient ratio. Operating hours: 7:30 AM – 9:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, with designated overnight and weekend call staff to mitigate call shift burden. Call schedule: one Friday overnight shift every 6‑8 weeks, approximately six to eight evening call shifts Monday‑Thursday per six‑week schedule, and one 24‑hour holiday call shift per year. Call requirements may vary to meet unit needs and occasionally require additional hours. Experienced RNs can expect 6 to 12 weeks of orientation on the unit.
