Hospitalist Physician

• Schedule: Approximately 12 shifts per month (minimum 8 shifts); 12 or 24-hour shifts available; 7a-7p or 7p-7a
• Job Setting: Inpatient - 260-bed hospital with Level 2 nursery; approximately 1,500 births/year
• Types of Cases: Labor and delivery (vaginal and C-section), obstetric emergencies, inpatient OB/GYN triage and consultations, surgical interventions (open, laparoscopic, operative/major), amniocentesis, complicated deliveries including multiple births and VBAC's, repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations, prenatal/postpartum care
• Coverage Type: No Call
• Credentialing: Estimated 90 days

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
• Certifications: ABLS, BLS required
• Licensure: Licensed in Ohio or IMLC

• Low risk and high risk pregnancy management
• FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
• Amniocentesis
• Routine delivery - vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section
• Complicated delivery - C-section, multiple births required; breech, abruptions, and VBAC's preferred
• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Surgical gynecology - open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor, operative/major
