On the floor and in the field, this isn’t a stay-in-one-place technician role. As our Manufacturing Systems Technician, you’ll operate in two worlds—splitting your time between hands-on fabrication in our Sedalia facility (about 70%) and field support (about 20–30%). From cutting and assembling PVC/CPVC systems (with some stainless in the mix), this is precision, hands-on work where what you build is exactly what ships—no separation between effort and outcome. The other 20–30% of the time, you’re on-site, in front of the customer, watching your system come to life. You’ll verify installations, run wet and leak testing, and troubleshoot in real time—making the call when something’s off and fixing it before it slows the project down. When things don’t go to plan—and sometimes they won’t—you’re the one who figures it out and keeps everything moving. We’re not standing still either. We’re expanding and actively scaling, with a strong pipeline of projects already lined up. You won’t be stepping into maintenance mode—you’ll be stepping into build mode, where your impact is visible from day one. If you read mechanical drawings, system layouts, without hesitation, work confidently in fabrication, and communicate clearly when it matters—especially under pressure—you’ll do well here. More importantly, this is for someone who takes ownership when the system is live, not just when it’s on paper. Bottom line: This role is built for someone who wants to go beyond building parts—someone who takes pride in building complete systems and seeing them through to successful startup and real-world performance. Responsibilities Fabrication & Assembly: Operate saws, drills, routers, and other fabrication equipment for PVC/CPVC cutting, drilling, and assembly. Assemble components by hand and using semi-automatic or automatic equipment, including CNC and injection molding machines. Measure, cut, fit, and assemble PVC & CPVC components according to specifications. Perform machine setups and routine equipment maintenance. Production Execution & Quality: Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders to complete assigned tasks. Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with company standards. Maintain accurate production records and report material usage or issues to supervisors. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines. Inventory, Shipping & Logistics: Load and unload shipments for the factory and production facility. Pick and pack parts for orders when required. Assist with inventory management and purchasing activities. Field Support & System Startup: Assist with system startups for aeration equipment, including installations and overall functional verification. Support troubleshooting during the startup phase by documenting issues, reporting field conditions, and recommending corrective actions. Participate in site inspections to verify proper installation of piping, fittings, and system components. Communicate effectively with contractors, supervisors, and engineering teams during startup tasks. Represent the company professionally during field visits and maintain safety compliance at all times. Safety & Workplace Standards: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Requirements High School Diploma or GED 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, field experience with equipment installation, startup, troubleshooting. 1+ years of experience reading drawings, blue prints, basic system layouts Core Competencies Technical & Mechanical Capability Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and basic system layouts to execute work accurately. Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and machine operation. Quality, Execution & Problem Solving: Strong commitment to quality workmanship with close attention to detail. Effective time management and problem-solving skills to prioritize work and resolve issues efficiently. Quality control experience is a plus, including inspection and adherence to standards. Systems, Communication & Teamwork: Proficient computer skills for documentation, reporting, and basic production tracking. Clear communicator who works effectively across team members and functions to meet goals. Adaptability & Drive: Willingness to learn, take on new challenges, and adapt to evolving production and field demands. Preferences Experience in pipe fabrication, plumbing, aeration systems, or plastics manufacturing. Familiarity with PVC solvent welding, mechanical fittings, or aeration diffuser systems. OSHA 10/30 safety training.
