Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Seven Hills Rhode Island is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support individuals in achieving greater independence, safety, and quality of life. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to deliver meaningful, person-centered occupational therapy services in home and community-based settings.

Under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA assists in implementing occupational therapy services, conducting assessments, and supporting individuals with disabilities and chronic conditions. This position focuses on enhancing independence through adaptive strategies, environmental modifications, and access to assistive technology.

Responsibilities include therapeutic support and intervention, assessment and resource coordination, education and training, documentation and compliance, and safety and professional standards.

Core competencies include knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and interventions, strong communication and interpersonal skills, commitment to ethical and professional practice, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and responsiveness and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications include a current COTA license required (Rhode Island), an associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program required, minimum of one year of related experience preferred, and a valid Class C or Class D driver's license.
