A well-established, 100% employee-owned general contractor with more than three decades of history in the Southeast is looking for a Project Manager to join its Charleston-area team. This firm has a strong, active pipeline in healthcare and commercial construction.

About the Role

\n

As Project Manager, you'll take ownership of commercial and/or healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, serving as the day-to-day leader for budget, schedule, quality, and client relationships. You'll work closely with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and owners to keep projects on track and on budget, in an organization that gives PMs real autonomy and a direct stake in the company's success.

What You'll Do

\n

\n
• Manage all phases of assigned commercial and/or healthcare construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout
\n
• Own project budgets, schedules, subcontracts, and change order management
\n
• Serve as the primary client-facing point of contact, building and maintaining strong owner and architect relationships
\n
• Coordinate closely with superintendents and field staff to ensure constructability, safety, and quality standards are met
\n
• Lead subcontractor buyout, RFI management, submittal review, and project documentation
\n
• Identify and proactively resolve issues affecting cost, schedule, or scope
\n
• Mentor project engineers/assistant PMs as needed
\n

What We're Looking For

\n

\n
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor; healthcare or occupied-facility renovation experience a strong plus
\n
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
\n
• Experience with CMAR, Design-Build, and/or hard-bid delivery methods
\n
• Strong working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software
\n
• Proven track record managing project budgets in the multi-million-dollar range
\n
• Excellent communication and client-management skills
\n
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
