Director of Workplace Operations and Services

Overview Realty Income seeks an experienced Director of Workplace Operations & Services to oversee workspace operations, office equipment, building compliance and safety protocols for our global offices. The role combines project planning and execution with operational oversight, employee collaboration and training to maintain a secure, efficient and well‑maintained building environment. Responsibilities Develop and execute a facilities roadmap that balances employee experience, safety, operational efficiency, sustainability and budget across short‑ and long‑term initiatives. Plan and coordinate building activities such as construction, installations and fire drills with facilities management. Oversee building, office and parking access, planning and executing changes as needed. Manage and monitor security cameras and conduct regular safety and security walkthroughs to verify compliance. Resolve unsafe conditions, maintain first aid and AED units, and ensure all health and safety equipment is ready for use. Plan and conduct employee training on CPR/AED, Workplace Harassment, Workplace Violence and other required topics. Manage emergencies, incident reporting and verify Personal Protective Equipment supplies/usage and keep the Emergency Evacuation Plan up to date. Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes and collaborate with People Success to implement office policies. Support company events and town hall meetings by coordinating meeting spaces and ensuring a high‑performing front desk process for guests and visiting employees. Manage guest and visiting remote employee access, maintain floor plans, seating plans and the office reservation program, and coordinate office/desk moves to optimize space usage. Support corporate sustainability efforts, including recycling and e‑cycling programs. Manage and create the U.S. facilities budget, maintain office equipment, source cost‑effective supplies, and align purchases to stay within the budget. Ensure break rooms are stocked and appliances operational, manage ergonomic equipment installation and adjustments, and keep high‑visibility areas sanitary and disinfected routinely. Maintain safety documentation (MSDS), manage contracts and certificates of insurance, and oversee office machinery maintenance and repairs. Qualifications High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Five or more years of experience in building or campus management with direct supervisory experience. Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, timeline management and execution. Experience developing and rolling out global guidelines and safety standards, including annual planning and employee training. Proficiency with office technology such as computers, printers and copy machines. Experience in emergency response, security and disaster recovery planning. Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills in high‑pressure situations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Knowledge of sustainability initiatives, including recycling and e‑cycling programs. Preferred Certifications Facilities Management Professional (FMP) Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) CPR/AED Professional Location This position is based at Realty Income’s San Diego (Del Mar Heights) headquarters. Monday through Friday is an in‑office schedule requiring collaboration with the global team. Compensation Salary range: $93,875 – $147,489. High‑end offers are uncommon but may be considered for candidates with exceptional experience.
