Maas Verde Landscape Restoration is a Central Texas-based landscape design-build company specializing in sustainable solutions for residential, commercial, and government projects. We provide comprehensive services including construction, earthwork, irrigation, masonry, planting, and ecological restoration. Our mission is to create functional, environmentally conscious landscapes tailored to each client’s needs. 

The Residential Sales Representative will focus on growing Maas Verde’s small- and large-residential landscape design business. The associate will partner in marketing efforts, build client relationships, and manage opportunities from lead generation through project implementation. Successful candidates will possess strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills, along with the ability to grow and be open to learning new ways to provide solutions for our customers. 

Role and Responsibilities:  

• DELIGHT our clients, as well as internal management, with their eye for detail, their knowledge of native landscapes, and their clear, concise, consistent, client-centered communication
• Prospect for opportunities with new and existing customers, generate leads, contact leads from website inquiries, network, and build relationships within the landscape construction and environmental restoration market
• Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle: Convert inbound leads to opportunities, meet with prospects to identify project scope, propose opportunities for new business with potential clients
• Communicate with clients throughout the project life cycle, including project start, status updates, gaining approval, and collecting payments
• Support the development of a marketing database that includes customer contacts, customer fact sheets, contracts, and other information relevant to existing and potential customers to evaluate opportunities for growth
• Monitor and track performance and perform detailed variance analysis monthly
• Take initiative to identify and pursue new business lines and opportunities
• Identify prospective customers and new opportunities for existing customers using business directories, by following leads from existing clients, and by attending various industry networking events
• Monitor market conditions to stay ahead of market issues and changes in the industry
• Able to review and negotiate contract details
• Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales reports, filing expense account reports, and assisting with accounts receivable collections
• Willingness to travel to contact and visit customers and attend networking events 

Your Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, architecture, business, construction management, construction technology, economics, engineering, environmental science, finance, natural resources, project management, or other related discipline is preferred
• 2+ years as a sales representative, preferably in the landscape industry.
• Understanding of the construction, environment, and landscaping industry is preferred
• 2+ years’ experience in construction, irrigation, engineering, or project management is preferred
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word is required
• Experience in reading, interpreting, negotiating, and understanding construction contracts is required
• Work experience demonstrating strong analytical and interpersonal skills is important
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
• Superior written communication and presentation skills is required
• An ability to analyze data and present findings is required
• Able to multitask and demonstrate a commonsense approach to problem solving
• Effective written and oral communication skills with colleagues and customers at all levels within the organization are required
• Able to demonstrate initiative and effective time management skills to develop knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill job responsibilities in an independent and thorough manner
• Able to develop good working relationships with colleagues and customers
