Lead Design Engineer

Engineering Lead AnalystCitigroup Technology, Inc. seeks an Engineering Lead Analyst for its Irving, TX location.Duties: Develop conceptual, logical, or physical network designs. Evaluate network designs to determine whether requirements are met efficiently and effectively. Determine specific network hardware or software requirements. Prepare detailed network specifications, including diagrams and configurations. Develop or recommend network security measures, security audits, or automated security probes. Develop and implement solutions for network problems. Research and test new or modified hardware or software products to determine performance and interoperability. Adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands. Monitor and analyze network performance to detect problems or inefficiencies. Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. Develop network-related documentation. Develop and write procedures for installation, use, or troubleshooting of communications hardware or software. Develop procedures to track, project, or report network availability, reliability, capacity, or utilization. Develop or maintain project reporting systems. Participate in network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware and software and integration testing. Design, build, or operate equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware. Communicate with vendors to gather information about products, alert them to future needs, resolve problems, or address system maintenance issues. Coordinate network or design activities with designers of associated networks. Develop disaster recovery plans. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Business, or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation developing technology quality standards within existing and planned frameworks. Six (6) years of experience must include: Designing, reviewing, and approving enterprise-scale network architectures for distributed LAN, WAN, and hybrid environments, including implementation of redundancy, fault tolerance, and high-availability design patterns; Architecting and validating Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) protection designs, including traffic inspection, mitigation workflows, and resiliency strategies to safeguard enterprise network infrastructure; Performing network design deviation reviews and technical risk assessments by analyzing routing behavior, resiliency models, and security controls to ensure operational stability and business continuity; Leading remediation of network infrastructure vulnerabilities by interpreting security assessment findings, defining corrective architectural controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and enterprise security standards; Conducting root cause analysis of complex network incidents involving availability, performance, or security failures, and implementing preventive architectural changes to eliminate recurrence; and Developing network engineering standards, testing methodologies, and operational frameworks, including support for automation of repeatable network validation, compliance reporting, and architectural governance processes.Wage Range: $176,200.00 to $196,000.00Job Family Group: TechnologyJob Family: Systems & EngineeringTime Type: Full timePrimary Location: Irving Texas United StatesIn addition to salary, Citi's offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
