Senior Estimator- Concrete

Job Description DPR Construction is seeking a Senior Concrete Estimator with at least 5 years of commercial construction experience. Senior estimators will work on commercial projects in healthcare, advanced technology, higher education, life sciences, and corporate office markets. Responsibilities Handle the project from initial estimate through contract formalization. Identify missing information, ask the right questions, and provide a complete concrete cost evaluation. Develop innovative solutions to complex cost, lead time, trade partner, and material issues. Prepare detailed conceptual concrete cost estimates and studies from schematic or feasibility documentation. Update estimates and produce variance summaries, value‑engineering studies, and presentation‑ready packages throughout project evolution. Collaborate with project teams, including GC teams, architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors, to establish staffing and project requirements. Prepare detailed instructions to bidders, trade‑specific clarifications, and comprehensive bid packages for sub‑tiers. Participate in the bidding process: solicit bids, communicate with bidders, evaluate proposals, use bid tally sheets, and recommend subcontractor awards. Negotiate and finalize subcontracts with trade partners and lead value‑engineering sessions with design teams. Review construction contracts and identify key risks affecting the concrete estimate. Lead, manage, and motivate project teams during the preconstruction phase. Qualifications 3-5 years commercial construction estimating experience, preferably in DPR core markets. Proficient with estimating software (WinEst or similar), take‑off software (On‑Screen Takeoff or similar), BIM tools (Revit, Assemble, etc.), project management software (CMiC or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar). Excellent listening, communication, and teamwork skills. Strong analytical ability to identify, adapt to, and resolve complex issues. Detail‑oriented, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong work ethic and a "can‑do" attitude. Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. Benefits and Salary Salary position with an anticipated starting pay range of $120,000.00-$170,000.00.
