Job Summary

Medical Surgical Floor position. The role provides care for a diverse medical patient population with acute and chronic conditions, including infectious processes, renal disease, diabetes, respiratory illness, cardiac conditions, and complex wounds. The position requires proficiency with complex clinical treatments, telemetry, drains, central lines, and other specialized patient-care needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Clinical experience with chest tubes; tubes, lines, and drains; infusions such as diltiazem, heparin, furosemide, insulin, or amiodarone; postoperative lines, tubes, and drains; tracheostomies and laryngectomies; telemetry; complex wounds; and central-line care, maintenance, and blood draws.
• Additional Information: Provides care for patients with acute or chronic conditions, including sepsis, infectious processes, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, diabetes, gastrointestinal conditions, fluid and electrolyte imbalances, alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance misuse, endocarditis, heart disease, skin and wound conditions, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, influenza, pneumonia, and Cystic Fibrosis. On-call availability is required.
