Job Description
Position: Full-time Dental Hygienist
Location: Mooresville, NC
Summary: As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will complete the treatment of patients' oral and periodontal care, including patient education.
Responsibilities:
Perform cleanings of teeth and gums; take necessary x-rays and intra-oral pictures; complete periodontal charting
Address patients' hygiene and restorative needs
Educate patients on likely recommended treatments by the doctor
Document findings in the Practice Management Software
Clean and sterilize treatment rooms after each appointment
Reappoint patients, emphasizing the value and urgency of the next appointment
Provide an effective handoff to the doctor and appropriate admin team
Prepare for, attend, and contribute to Straine Management System (SMS) meetings
Achieve individual daily hygiene production goals
Maintain proper knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance and clinical skills
Non-essential Tasks:
Make calls to patients due for hygiene appointments during open times
Perform other related duties as assigned
