Based in Philadelphia or Pittsburgh, you will play a key role in delivering complex, exciting and engaging large-scale transportation infrastructure projects across the region.As a senior technical leader, you will serve as a design lead and client-facing engineer of record on Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) projects, guiding multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, and construction support for major highway and roadway initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, discipline leads, and other technical experts to deliver innovative solutions that exceed client expectations.In this role, you’ll provide technical direction, quality oversight, and mentorship to junior engineers and designers while maintaining accountability for schedule, scope, and technical excellence. You will also act as a trusted advisor to our clients, strengthening long-term relationships and supporting business development pursuits throughout Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region.When you join us you’ll:Serve as Lead Highway Engineer / Engineer of Record on significant transportation projects from concept through final design and construction supportProvide technical leadership for roadway geometry, interchange design, traffic control/staging, drainage, stormwater management, and erosion & sediment controlOversee and review design deliverables to ensure compliance Coordinate alongside project managers on staffing projections, schedules, budgets, and risk managementInterface directly with subconsultants, clients, reviewing agencies, and external stakeholdersMentor and guide team of junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and quality-focused deliverySupport proposal development, scope development, and technical interviews as a senior contributor to business growth#LI-LM1236 Here's what you'll need Bachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania Advanced proficiency with Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) Substantial progressive experience in transportation engineering with a strong focus on highway/roadway designDemonstrated experience leading complex highway design projects for PennDOT and/or PTCProven ability to lead technical teams, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholdersLocal to our Pennsylvania offices: Philadelphia or PittsburghOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
