Summary The Branch Manager will work closely with the Regional Director to develop and implement strategies that support branch initiatives, drive revenue growth, and achieve organizational goals. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for guiding and developing your branch team to ensure success at the individual, branch, and organizational levels. This role fosters a collaborative, high-performance culture grounded in empathy, accountability, and resourcefulness. The Branch Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional member experiences, maintaining operational excellence, achieving branch performance targets, and developing relationships in the community to promote growth. By promoting team engagement, continuous improvement, and a positive culture, this leader supports daily operations and ensures consistent, high-quality service across all branch locations. Duties & Responsibilities Branch Leadership & Strategy Develop, implement, and maintain branch strategies as documented in the annual business plan. Play a pivotal role in fostering and championing a positive, high‑performing culture within your branch that supports teammate engagement and contributes to making Addition Financial an exemplary workplace. Monitor and enhance branch performance metrics, including Net Promoter Score (NPS), Google reviews, and member satisfaction. Analyze performance data to set objectives, optimize staffing levels, and drive profitability. Ensure the delivery of consistent and reliable service standards across all branch locations to uphold our brand promise and earn member trust. Drive a high‑impact service culture that elevates member experience, strengthens brand loyalty, and positions the credit union as a trusted financial partner. Support consultative sales efforts to deepen member relationships and meet financial needs. Ensure clear communication with teammates by disseminating all updates and changes through morning huddles, follow‑ups from Branch Manager’s meetings, and Manager‑Led “WeConnects.” Attend monthly branch leader meetings and share pertinent information back to the team. Assist Head Teller duties to include branch audits, Relationship Advisor functions, processing loans, new accounts, business lending, and successfully perform all branch duties as needed. Conduct morning and afternoon huddles to include but not limited to current standing, product and services, and skills practice. Manage operational expense reduction by diligently preventing fraud and minimizing losses for the credit union. Continuously build and maintain knowledge to stay abreast of industry trends and standards. Expected to attain branch goals in savings, lending, account relationships, transactions, profitability, and cross‑sell ratios. Manage and monitor the branch’s financial performance, including profitability, cost control, and budget adherence. Team Development & Coaching Train, mentor, and coach teammates on Addition Financial's standards, service commitments, core values, and behaviors by providing ongoing daily coaching of direct reports, monthly coaching sessions, annual performance reviews, and career progression. Manage Assistant Branch Manager, who supervises team members in the RA/MSR platforms and oversees all branch personnel. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and performance management for all team members and branch leadership. Responsible for team member retention and the ongoing development of team members. Provide continuous education on policies and procedures to ensure staff proficiency and compliance. Set priorities, direct and delegate responsibilities to the branch leadership and follow through on implementation of the designated responsibilities/tasks. Ensure day‑to‑day operations deliver seamless, “unbelievable” service experiences that exceed member expectations. Deliver seamless, one‑stop branch problem resolution by serving as the sole point of contact, ensuring members’ questions and issues are addressed promptly, thereby continuously improving the service we provide to our members. Build and nurture strong member relationships in the branch location’s immediate community through volunteerism and local outreach. Serve as a visible leader and brand ambassador, strengthening local community partnerships and amplifying Addition Financial’s reputation. Prepare and administer performance appraisals, warnings, and disciplinary actions for direct reports. Compliance & Risk Management Assist branch in maintaining compliance with their BSA Program and USA Patriot Act, and any other compliance needs. Stay updated on credit union regulations, policies, and procedures; conduct necessary audits. Follow risk‑management guidelines and act as the branch's first defense in reporting risks. Collaborate with the Risk Management and Audit teams for oversight and assurance. Manage operational expense reduction by diligently preventing fraud and minimizing losses for the credit union. Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and other departments to achieve organizational goals. Coordinate with Human Resources and Training on recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing curriculum enhancements. Partner with internal departments on referrals, campaigns, and credit union initiatives. Administer the supervision of the office to ensure proper functioning of day‑to‑day operations, including adhering to security policies and procedures, control of cash levels, and adequate supply of inventory. Special Initiatives Provide support and mentorship to our high school branch students, university branch students, and summer interns, ensuring a positive learning experience. Work remotely as needed during branch closures or disaster recovery events. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership to support branch and credit union goals. Requirements Education High School diploma or equivalent Experience Prefer at least 3–5 years of leadership experience in a financial institution, retail, or service environment; with supervisory, leadership, and sales experience beneficial. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience. Proven track record of leading and developing high‑performing teams to meet organizational goals. Any applicable system or program knowledge Proficiency in credit union systems including Windows and Microsoft Office Software; experience with core banking applications (Symitar/Epysis, Synapsys, Meridian Link, OpenClose, etc.) highly desired. Additional Requirements Knowledge of branch operations, regulatory compliance, and risk management principles. Working knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, procedures, and lending practices, including interpretation of credit bureau reports, underwriting criteria, and lending philosophies. Organizational, prioritization, analytical, and problem‑solving skills are necessary for addressing complex issues and driving continuous improvement. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to positively influence various stakeholders, including members, teammates, vendors, and regulators. Have an understanding of fundamental financial concepts, including balance sheets, income statements, and key ratios, utilizing peer comparisons to guide strategic decisions that enhance branch performance. Adaptable to support remote branch operations during closures and respond to evolving business requirements. Other characteristics of the position Physical Demands Sitting for long periods at a time.
