TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Kalamazoo, Michigan, 49048!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of nursing experience required, with at least one year on a cardiac unit. License: Must apply for MI License within 24 hours of offer. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Competent with venous sheath pulls. Description: Position in the Short Stay department that primarily cares for patients pre and post CVL procedures. The unit is open 24 hours a day to accommodate patient throughput. Candidates must have 2 years of nursing experience, including cardiac unit experience. Shift is 3x12 days from 06:00 to 18:30. No call requirements. Every other weekend work is expected. Must work 2 out of 3 holidays. First-timers are accepted. Traveler candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility. Must be willing to participate in the licensure project. Charting system used is Cerner Powerchart. Daily patient ratios are 6. Patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Main patient diagnoses include chest pain, STEMIs, NONSTEMIs, and CHF. The unit has a focus on pre and post cardiac cath lab procedures. Special equipment includes venous sheath pulls and cardiac drips like Nitroglycerin, Amiodarone, and Heparin. Travelers should complete up to 8 hours of modules within one week of signing for the assignment. All conduct issues, including unprofessional behavior, may lead to contract termination.
