Mortgage Loan Originator

Our client is actively seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to guide members through the residential mortgage process, evaluate loan applications, and make sound credit decisions while ensuring regulatory compliance and loan quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate and evaluate residential mortgage applications and make approval or denial recommendations.
- Analyze borrower financial information, determine loan terms, and complete rate locks and required disclosures.
- Build and maintain relationships with Realtors and other referral partners to generate mortgage business.
- Ensure loan files are complete, accurate, compliant, and meet secondary-market requirements.
- Cross-sell appropriate Credit Union products and services.
- Maintain NMLS registration and required continuing education.
- Stay current on mortgage products, rates, regulations, and market trends.
- Provide responsive, professional service and resolve member and internal inquiries.
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of residential mortgage lending experience .
- Associate degree, relevant certification, or equivalent experience/training .
- Knowledge of first and second mortgage lending and secondary-market requirements .
- Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, and sales skills.
- Current NMLS registration or ability to obtain and maintain required licensing.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel independently.
Years Experience: 3 - 5 years
Salary: $47,490 - $98,040 Annual
