Client-focusedEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Consistently ranked as a Top WorkplaceInternal recruitment team, in-house training, and a marketing department specific to our industryWe celebrate flexibility, allowing every team and office to lead with their proven approachOur culture champions continuous learning and personal growthWe believe success comes through constant evolution and communicationWe are passionate about having fun and making money, all while creating impactAs a Survey Technician at LJA Surveying, you will be responsible for preparing metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects, exhibits and various mapping products.A typical day might include:Gathers data used for creation of topographical mapsCompile information necessary to stake projects for construction using engineering plansCompare survey computations with applicable standards in order to determine adequacy of dataCollect information needed to carry out new surveys, using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records and other relevant informationPrepare topographic and contour maps of land surveyed, including site features and other relevant information such as charts, drawings, and survey notesRequired education/license/certifications:Surveyor-in-Training certification by the Florida of Land Surveying, orLevel II Certified Survey Technician certificationRequired qualifications:5-10 years of survey experienceProject schedulingCADD experience is required and DOT experience is a plusSolid proficiency with Microsoft Office programsStrong communication skills both oral and writtenAbility to build strong relationships with internal and external clientsLevel up with LJA:Generous Time Off: PTO, paid holidays, and a full office closure between Christmas and New Year's.Comprehensive Benefits: Multiple plan options for health, dental, and pets.
