Job Title: General Production Worker $18

SHIFT: 7AM-3:30PM

Job Description

The General Production Worker is an entry-level position within the production area, encompassing a range of duties related to meat processing operations. This role requires compliance with policies and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all production areas in clean and sanitary conditions.
• Communicate any issues leading to unsanitary conditions promptly.
• Remove product and packing materials from the floor and dispose of inedible products properly.
• Separate and remove trash and recycling from production areas.
• Stage production area with empty containers for the following shift.
• Assist with preparing and disassembling equipment for operations and sanitation.
• Ensure proper identification of product and line to eliminate cross-contamination and allergen concerns.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general labor, production, packing, food manufacturing, and food production.
• Experience in line cooking, food preparation, cold storage, cold food, meat handling, and meat cutting.

Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing environment, exposing employees to moving mechanical parts and varying temperature areas. The noise level is typically high. Physical demands include constant standing and walking, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 lbs, and using hands for various tasks. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
