JOB SUMMARY

Zermatt Resort & Spa is seeking an energetic, results-driven Group Sales Manager to generate group business and maximize resort revenue through the sale of guest rooms, meeting space, and catering services. This position is responsible for developing new business, maintaining client relationships, and managing the sales process from initial inquiry through contract execution. The Group Sales Manager works closely with Conference Services, Food & Beverage, and resort operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences while achieving established revenue goals.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Proactively solicit new group business through prospecting, sales calls, networking, referrals, and site visits. Respond to inquiries for guest rooms, meetings, conferences, retreats, weddings, and catered events. Prepare proposals, contracts, and group sales agreements. Conduct property tours showcasing guest rooms, meeting facilities, banquet space, and resort amenities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, meeting planners, and community partners. Collaborate with Conference Services, Catering, and Operations to ensure a seamless transition from contract to event execution. Maintain accurate client records, sales activities, and account information in the resort's CRM system. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade shows to generate new business. Follow all resort policies, procedures, and service standards. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

2–5 years of hotel, resort, hospitality, or related sales experience preferred. Knowledge of group sales, catering, meetings, conferences, and event planning. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proven ability to prospect, develop new business, and manage multiple accounts simultaneously. Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Highly organized with excellent time management and attention to detail. Professional, self-motivated, and guest-focused.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Available to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for client events and trade shows. Ability to travel locally for sales calls, networking events, and community outreach. Ability to stand, walk, and conduct property tours for extended periods. Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
