Multilingual Certified Medical Coder for AI Evaluation

Role Overview

Apply your medical coding and clinical documentation expertise to improve the accuracy and reliability of healthcare AI. As part of a multilingual annotation cohort, you will review, annotate, and evaluate clinical documentation and AI-generated clinical notes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and coding integrity.
• Assess AI-generated clinical notes and summaries against real-world documentation and coding standards.
• Validate that clinical documentation aligns with assigned codes.
• Annotate clinical documentation according to detailed guidelines.
• Identify omissions, inaccuracies, and documentation gaps in AI-generated output.
• Provide structured written feedback for engineering and product teams.
• Contribute expert input to annotation guidelines and documentation standards.
• Raise clarifying questions when guidance is ambiguous and help refine it.

Qualifications

• Hold an active CCDS, CHC, CCS, or CPC certification.
• Have ICD-10 coding experience and currently work in medical coding, clinical documentation improvement, or a closely related documentation role.
• Be based in the United States.
• Be fluent in English and demonstrate advanced C1 or higher speaking, listening, reading, and writing proficiency in at least one additional language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications such as CRC, CDIP, or similar credentials.
• Familiarity with Epic.
• Experience with HCC or risk-adjustment coding.
• Prior AI or ML annotation or model-evaluation experience, supported by strong performance reviews.

Work Terms

• Remote, hourly, part-time independent contractor engagement.
• Flexible schedule with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.

Compensation

$45 to $65 per hour.
