The Edgewater Hotel is seeking a Steward to join our team! The Steward (Dishwasher) is responsible for the operation of the dish machine. Also responsible for collecting dirty plates and pots/pans from various areas, and restocking said areas with clean items, regular sweep/mop of work area and general cleaning of counter tops, tables, sinks, mats, dish area, and floors, disposal of trash, waste, and grease, and working with chemicals. - Must be able to work safely with delicate equipment and china/glass/silver.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Understanding of basic sanitation, including safely reading and following instructions on various equipment and chemicals/cleaning agent
- Ability to communicate regularly with associates and supervisors
- Ability to follow daily checklists and report any issues or challenges to management team
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English and have a team-oriented attitude
