Body Shop Painter

The Body Shop Painter plays a critical role in the automotive repair and restoration process by applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles that have undergone bodywork repairs. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an automotive painter or in a similar role within a body shop environment.
• Knowledge of automotive paint systems, including primers, base coats, and clear coats.
• Ability to operate spray painting equipment and related tools safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with safety standards and environmental regulations related to automotive painting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from a recognized automotive paint or collision repair program.
• Experience with computerized paint mixing and color matching technology.
• Strong understanding of different vehicle types and paint finishes, including metallic and pearlescent paints.
• Ability to work with waterborne paint systems and other advanced coating technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:
