ABOUT THIS ROLE Growth creates opportunity, and opportunity requires exceptional planning. Over the past two years, our manufacturing operations have expanded significantly, and our Supply Chain team has been at the center of that success. We're hiring a Planning and Procurement Specialist to help optimize production planning, manage inventory, strengthen supplier relationships, and ensure our facilities have everything they need to keep production running safely and efficiently. This role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient planning of daily production schedules and the timely procurement of raw materials in alignment with the Master Production Schedule (MPS). This role will work closely with Plant Operations, suppliers, and inventory management teams to maintain optimal stock levels and support seamless production flow. Key Responsibilities Production Planning Develop and manage daily production schedules based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS). Coordinate closely with Plant Operations to ensure resource availability and efficient workflow. Schedule daily work orders in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and alignment with production capacity. Raw Material Replenishment Run the ERP MRP tool to determine raw material requirements. Generate purchase orders (POs) for required ingredients and communicate them effectively to suppliers. Monitor procurement lead times and order fulfillment to prevent production disruptions. Inventory Management Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure proper inventory balance. Implement strategies to prevent shortages and overages, optimizing storage and cost control. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies as needed. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and adherence to quality standards. Communicate any changes in production requirements that may impact on material orders. Address supply chain disruptions proactively, sourcing alternatives when necessary. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in production planning, procurement, or a related role in food manufacturing. Proficiency in ERP systems for production scheduling and procurement. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve operational goals. Location and Work Environment Requirements This position requires onsite work 100% of the time. Remote work is not available. Office-based with regular interaction on the production floor. A fast-paced manufacturing environment requiring flexibility and adaptability. Travel (up to 10% of the time) may be required as directed.
