Senior Staff Accountant

Senior Staff Accountant Location: Irvine, CA Schedule: Full-Time | 100% Onsite Our client, a growing and dynamic organization in the Irvine area, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys owning processes, working independently, and partnering across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and month-end close activities. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain monthly bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items Manage and reconcile Accounts Receivable balances and related activity Record and monitor prepaid expenses and accruals Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end and year-end close Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger Assist with financial reporting, account analysis, and variance explanations Collaborate with internal teams to gather information, investigate discrepancies, and improve accounting processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Minimum 2+ years of General Ledger accounting experience Experience with bank reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations Multi-location accounting experience required NetSuite experience strongly preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis Strong understanding of month-end close processes and accounting principles Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy Self-starter who takes initiative, works independently, and thrives in a fast-paced environment What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a proactive accounting professional who takes ownership of their work, communicates effectively across departments, and continuously looks for ways to improve processes.
