Pay: $19–$21/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch
Start Date: Monday, August 31, 2026

Staff Up is seeking an experienced Optometric Clinic Coordinator to support a busy vision rehabilitation clinic. This position combines front desk coordination, patient scheduling, optometric technician duties, insurance verification, and general clinic support.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and provide professional, compassionate customer service.
• Answer phones, take messages, schedule and confirm appointments.
• Check patients in/out and collect copays.
• Process referrals, verify insurance, and maintain patient records.
• Assist with patient intake and preliminary optometric testing.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies/equipment.
• Assist providers with patient care and follow-up scheduling.
• Support insurance, billing, and administrative functions.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and accurate documentation.
• Assist with low-vision products, inventory, and other clinic duties as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of optometry or ophthalmology technician experience required.
• Experience with EMR or optometric practice management software.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Professional, reliable, and comfortable working directly with patients.
• HIPAA knowledge required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• CPOA, COA, or other optometric/ophthalmic certification preferred.
