Travelift Operator

We are looking for a dependable Travelift Operator to safely move, load, and unload structural steel materials throughout our outside yard. This role is essential to keeping production moving efficiently by supporting daily plant operations and ensuring materials are handled safely and accurately.

The ideal candidate is an experienced equipment operator who takes ownership of their work, prioritizes safety, and can confidently operate heavy equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Safely operate a 30-ton Travelift to load, unload, and transport steel materials
• Operate cranes, forklifts, drills, punch presses, and other shop equipment as needed
• Use oxy-fuel cutting torches, grinders, and various hand tools as required
• Assist production teams with material movement and daily operational needs
• Perform routine equipment checks and report any safety or maintenance concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals

Required Qualifications:

• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled hours
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable using hand tools and shop equipment
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
