Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be considered for placement as a Corrections Officer I or Corrections Officer II based on their education and experience.

What You'll Do As a Corrections Officer, you will:
- Maintain the safety and security of residents, staff, visitors, and the community.
- Build professional relationships with residents while serving as a positive, pro-social role model.
- Communicate effectively, maintain situational awareness, and respond appropriately to prevent, de-escalate, and manage incidents.
- Work as part of a highly collaborative team to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Demonstrate reliability by arriving on time, reporting for scheduled shifts, and following established procedures for requesting leave or reporting absences.
- Support rehabilitation by encouraging accountability, personal growth, and positive behavior.
- Respond calmly and confidently during emergencies using your training and sound judgment.
