LPN - Medical Surgical

The role is for an LPN in a Medical Surgical unit. The shift is from 7 PM to 7 AM. This position requires working every other weekend and holiday. Charting will be done using EPIC, which is a requirement. Candidates must submit requests for time off upon submission. The unit is a complex care setting for various medical conditions. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:5 to 1:6. Floating within your skill set may be required. The unit provides care for a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics. Additional support from interdisciplinary teams is available. Experience with wound care, telemetry monitoring, and IV management is essential. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The role involves various clinical skills including medication management and patient assessments. Candidates must have the capability to adapt to changing patient needs and unit dynamics.
