Keeping healthcare healthy can be as fun as it is rewarding.The Principal Enterprise Architect, reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, is a pivotal role for an architect who wants to lead our organization in AI enablement for the enterprise. This role calls for a multi-faceted leader with demonstrable success in the discipline of enterprise architecture focused on business outcomes not simply activities. This role sets an example for the organization on architecture competency. The immediate priorities for this role are to help establish an AI Enabled Enterprise Architecture Program, and the AI reference architecture for developing our SDLC and building AI products. They should be multi-disciplinary addressing Business, Data, Integration and Security architecture. They should be a leader in influencing change and transformation.ResponsibilitiesAdopt an AI approach and automate the delivery of EA services including architecture governance, application/technology portfolio management and business architecture.Develop Reference and Target Architectures for different technology and business domainsDevelop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework and repository, including defining principles, standards, capability maps and reference and target state architecture for technology and business domains. Analyze business processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer experienceLead Solution Architecture for key enterprise initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gather input, communicate architectural decisions, and ensure alignment with business and customer needs. Provide guidance and support to product development teams during the development, implementation, and integration of new software solutionsResearch, design, and evaluate software solutions and conduct POCs to align with business requirements and strategic goals, considering factors such as scalability, flexibility, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness – consistently addressing time-to-value (build vs. buy)Conduct regular reviews of the enterprise architecture to assess its effectiveness and identify areas for improvement, specifically in the context of software architecture and development practicesQualificationsWell versed in Artificial Intelligence with hands-on experience using AI for automation and insights. Have implemented Agentic solutions in productionHave experience with Solution Architecture with depth in cloud, data, integration and information security.Have developed standards and reference architectures and governed roadmapsExperience with Business Architecture initiatives including developing capability maps, process analysis, solution identification and roadmap development and governanceDevelop a respected working relationship with stakeholders and be seen as a valued conduit in gaining alignment between business, engineering and product management stakeholdersResearch the market and bring innovative ideas to help differentiate CHG from competition and within the industry10+ years of experience in application development, infrastructure or data engineering7+ years of experience in architecture or a related role, with a demonstrated track record of success in managing software architecture and development projectsProven ability to develop and implement enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and guidelines, particularly in the context of software architectureStrong understanding of business processes, software development methodologies, and how technology can be used to support business objectivesExcellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skillsExperience with cloud-native software architectures and microservices patternsExperience with Agile and DevOps methodologiesAbility to think strategically and translate business needs into technical software solutionsProficiency in enterprise architecture tools and methodologies, as well as software development tools and methodologiesEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, and/or a related field and experience or relevant experienceHold certifications in Artificial Intelligence and CloudPractitioner of EA Frameworks such as The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), and related concepts such as Business Architecture Body of Knowledge (BIZBOK) and Business Technology Architecture Body of Knowledge (BTABoK)Experience in healthcare, healthcare staffing, or a similarly regulated industry preferredWe believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $163,700 -- $316,500 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses.
