About the Position

Job Title: RN Wound Care Profession: RN Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday through Friday Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS Certification, Certification in Wound Care Nursing preferred Must-Have: - Assessing and monitoring wounds - Measuring, cleaning, and bandaging wounds - Collaborating with other members of the patient care team - Educating patients and caretakers on wound care and prevention Description: The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating wound care for outpatients. The Wound Care Nurse is involved in the chronic and rehabilitative care of patients with difficult-to-heal wounds. This position reports to the Program Manager and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures. The clinic sees a total volume of 20-35 patients per day. The Wound Care Nurse works alongside 3-4 nurses and 1-2 providers. The focus is on chronic patients and offering current, evidence-based treatments in wound care. The charting system used is Epic.
