Certified Nurse Midwife

Job Summary Outstanding Healthcare Opportunity – we are seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join the Community Health Center of Meriden’s Women’s Health and Prenatal Care Center. The CNM will provide comprehensive prenatal and women’s health care services, including gynecology and contraceptive management, within an integrated team of OB/GYN physicians, behavioral health therapists, registered dietitians, nurses, and medical assistants. Candidate Profile Looking for a professional who: Is committed to clinical excellence in women’s health care Has a minimum of 5 years experience as a nurse midwife and experience managing all aspects of prenatal, routine gynecology, and contraceptive management Is dedicated to eliminating health disparities and improving the health of underserved populations Possesses a positive energetic attitude and enjoys working in a team‑based, collegial, and integrated clinical environment Key Responsibilities Provide high‑quality routine prenatal care in accordance with ACOG and ACNM standards, with emphasis on routine screening tests, health maintenance, anticipatory guidance, and collaborative care for patients with psychosocial problems. Deliver comprehensive, high‑quality care based on current clinical practice guidelines for pregnant patients with medical conditions such as chronic/gestational diabetes, asthma, chronic/gestational hypertension, and preeclampsia/eclampsia. Collaborate with an OB/GYN group that provides 24/7 call coverage and all labor/delivery services. Work closely with other team members across the department, site, and organization to achieve assigned goals and objectives. Ensure compliance with CHC standards, including those established by the Joint Commission, state licensing, OSHA, safety and infection control, quality care audits, and DPH requirements. Adhere to CHC electronic health record charting and documentation standards. Participate in daily huddles, periodic team meetings, and shared responsibility for improving outcomes within the medical team. Commit to professional development through continuing education activities. Qualifications Licensed or license‑eligible in the state of Connecticut Board Certified as a Certified Nurse Midwife Master’s degree or DNP required Minimum of 5 years clinical experience Current CPR certification Commitment to caring for underserved populations Excellent written and oral communication skills Bilingual in Spanish (preferred) Experience with Centering Pregnancy model (a plus) #J-18808-Ljbffr Community Health Center, Inc
