Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location: Holmdel, NJ
Type: Local or Travel Contract (9 Weeks)
Shift & Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 40 Hours Per Week
Pay Rate:
Local: $56.00 - $64.00/hr
Travel: $65.00 - $73.00/hr

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Operating Room for an exciting Local or Travel job in Holmdel, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical process.

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

• Function as both a Scrub Nurse and Circulating Nurse during surgical procedures.

• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and surgical activities.

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for procedures.

• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards.

• Assist surgeons and anesthesia teams during surgical interventions.

• Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures.

• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Delegate and oversee tasks assigned to non-nursing support personnel.

• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).

• Active New Jersey RN License or Multi-State Compact RN License.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – American Heart Association (AHA).

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Operating Room experience.

• Must be proficient in both Scrubbing and Circulating all surgical cases.

• Experience with General Surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic procedures.

• Experience with Orthopedics, Spine, and Podiatry surgeries.

• Experience with Urology procedures.

• Experience with ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) surgeries.

• Experience with Vascular surgery procedures.

• Strong understanding of surgical instrumentation and sterile processing standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification – AHA.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
