Why You'll Love This Role Competitive Pay: Performance bonus up to $600/month Ongoing referral bonus opportunities Training & Development: Hands‑on, immersive training & coaching program with classroom and shadowing days alongside peers Career mobility in the X‑Ray field (Flex, Float, Training Coach, OSM, QA/QC roles) On‑site managers who are passionate about supporting team members and their growth Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision & more 401(k) with company match Generous PTO: starting at 208 hours annually Job Requirements Education Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required High School Diploma or equivalent required Work Experience Experience in a clinical setting preferred Required Licenses/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire (obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA)) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required Essential Functions Responsible for x‑ray services as needed Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x‑ray services for patients by applying x‑ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use Will need to push patients in a wheelchair Patient Preparation and Rooming Inform technical staff of patient flow Prepare patients for examination, including conducting interviews to verify patient information and record medical history; confirm purpose of visit Perform preliminary physical test (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) for vital signs and escalated critical cases to provider as needed Conduct point‑of‑care testing as needed (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG) and provide patient information to provider Administrative Responsible for maintenance of medical records and scanning charts to patient files Conduct courtesy call‑backs for patient follow‑up on care Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed Other Responsibilities Medical Team Support: collaborate with the ordering/treating provider to determine which procedures or views will best assist in accurate diagnoses and treatment; support clinic operations to keep the center running smoothly Patient Care: explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety, and answer their questions Patient Positioning: accurately position patients and equipment for optimal imaging results Image Production: select proper ionizing factors by adjusting/setting radiographic controls to capture clear, high‑quality diagnostic images Equipment Maintenance: perform routine maintenance, cleaning of X‑ray equipment, and manage necessary supplies Radiation Safety: adhere to strict radiation safety protocols and implement ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) to minimize exposure to patients and staff Documentation: maintain accurate patient records and log completed procedures in electronic systems and/or logbooks as required Image Management: verify image quality and ensure images are sent to radiologists for interpretation Knowledge Knowledge of X‑ray procedures and protocols Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X‑ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement Knowledge of radiology equipment, including safety hazards common to radiology Skills Positioning patients properly for the X‑ray procedure Identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor Following infection control and radiological safety procedures Note: this job description is not inclusive of all the duties of the position.
