ECMO Specialist RN - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position working night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled ECMO Specialist RN who is ECMO trained and possesses a minimum of 2 years of experience in ECMO circuit management. The ideal candidate will also have 3 or more years of CVICU or ICU experience, as there may be opportunities to float to CICU or CVICU as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients on ECMO.
• Provide critical care in a CVICU setting, including assessment and intervention for patients with acute cardiac and respiratory failure.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct assessments, interpret lab results, and respond to changes in patient status.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ECMO Specialist with circuit management.
• 3 or more years of experience in CVICU or ICU settings preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Pursuing CES-A or E-AEC and LVAD certifications is preferred.
• 1-year minimum experience with Epic EMR is required.
