Details 28-bed adult acute care hematology/oncology unit with a 15-bed intermediate care Stem Cell Transplant Unit Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4 Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00) Can offer 36 or 48 hours per week Every other weekend and every other holiday required, with 2 out of 3 winter holidays required Must adhere to facility's float policy and float within scope of practice as needed Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required (pending accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before start) 1 year of relevant nursing experience required BLS required, ACLS preferred ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification required (may be submitted as pending if completed before start) Epic charting experience required Skilled in IV therapy/infusions, accessing and managing ports, and chemotherapy administration BSN preferred Nursys license verification required for consideration Two professional references required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care to adult hematology/oncology and stem cell transplant patients, including chemotherapy administration Maximum of 40 hours of RTO approved per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration Any vacation time between sign date and start date must be disclosed to determine an appropriate start date Specialty-specific orientation modules completed during onboarding Previous UVA Health permanent staff or internal/external traveler employment requires 1-year separation and leadership approval External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return after reaching this limit First-time travelers may be considered for this role American Traveler Job ID P-749680.
